Phone Calls with your child:
Generally, within five hours, your child will be able to call you. If you do not get a phone call, you can call one of our local Social Services departments located on our Social Services page. Or, you can call one of the 24-hour numbers listed on the bottom of this page.
The Court will decide if you will be allowed to visit your child, where you will be able to visit your child, and how often. Within 48 hours of the time your child is placed into protective custody, a petition will be filed and a court hearing will follow to decide if your child should be returned to you. It is very important that you attend all of these hearings, and follow the service plan ordered by the court.
